David Schnider Becomes New President and COO

(Vista, CA – April 25, 2008) Fujikura has announced new leadership and organizational changes at the company.

Effective immediately, David Schnider has been promoted to COO and President of Fujikura Composite America. Schnider is a veteran of the golf industry, working as Director of Sales and Products with Fujikura over the last eight years.

“We are excited to have Dave lead our team. He has been instrumental and successful in helping us build our important business with OEMs and our strong Charter Dealer network,” says Kenji Morita, CEO of Fujikura Composites. “Dave’s outstanding depth and breadth of experience in golf will help us continue our growth initiatives. Additionally, we wish his predecessor, Pete Sanchez, the best of luck in his new position at TaylorMade-adidas Golf.”

“I am honored and excited to lead our Fujikura team. We have had tremendous success based on delivering superior material, design and process technology to our OEM customers and our stellar Charter Dealer network,” says Mr. Schnider. “I am proud to be a vital part of the leadership team that has driven our success on Tour and with golfers of all skill levels to this point and am eager to lead our team and strategies to build on that success.”

Mr. Morita concurrently announced the promotion of Alex Dee from Director of Engineering to Vice President of Fujikura Composites. “Alex and his team have proven themselves time and again to work diligently and successfully with our entire customer base,” Mr. Morita added.

Fujikura was the #1 Driver shaft brand at 95% of all Tour events including the PGA, LPGA, Champions and Nationwide Tours through the first quarter of 2008 competition. This includes winning the counts at the PGA and LPGA Tours’ first major championships.

This dominant leadership position builds on Fujikura’s position as the PGA Tour’s #1 Driver and Wood shaft brand for the last eight years. This leadership position was highlighted by being the #1 Driver Shaft Brand at all 2007 men’s majors — The Masters, the U.S. Open, the Open Championship and the PGA Championship. On the 2007 LPGA and Champions Tours, Fujikura was the #1 Driver and Wood Shaft brand at their respective U.S. major championships. (more)

Fujikura is the primary supplier to many national brand OEM’s offering both proprietary and brand product shaft designs. Fujikura products also can be custom fitted through its network of over 900 Charter Dealers. To learn more about Fujikura, visit www.fujikuragolf.com.
