BERKELEY, CA (May 13, 2008)- Noted speaker, author, and acknowledged authority on business-golf, Suzanne Woo, will appear at a series of “Women in Golf” events in June for selected CourseCo facilities, in conjunction with the American Express Women’s Golf Month.
Author of On Course for Business – Women and Golf, and 72 Secrets of Successful Business Golf, Woo has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Golf for Women magazine, and an assortment of other national publications and radio and television broadcasts. Included as one of the contributor’s in Donald Trump’s book, The Best Golf Advice I Ever Received, she is regarded as the pre-eminent authority on business golf, and has a particular affinity for helping women entrants and prospective new players as they navigate the nuances and culture of the golf world.
Woo has conducted seminars for major corporations and organizations across the country, emphasizing that she is not a swing teacher, but a coach, who stresses it’s not how far you hit the ball, but how you maximize that invaluable time on the course with your clients and business associates. Founder of her company, BizGolf® Dynamics, Woo teaches beginning, intermediate, and even experienced players how to use golf not only as a networking tool, but also as a key asset to their overall business arsenals. A compilation of her work was reprinted and distributed as a supplement within the May/June 2007 issue of Golf for Women.
The Women’s Golf Month, now in its fourth year, is a collaboration of national and local golf organizations aimed at increasing the participation of women, with numerous events and customized activities throughout June at facilities across the country. Woo will be the keynote speaker, and conduct a series of seminars at CourseCo managed courses in Northern California. “I’m thrilled to be a participant and to be affiliated with CourseCo, and their efforts to bring more women into the game,” said Woo. “CourseCo is an outstanding public course management company, ahead of the curve in women’s golf.”
Suzanne Woo’s Schedule for “Women in Golf” Events (www.golfaroundthebay.com):

* June 11 – Callippe Preserve Golf Course, Pleasanton, California.
* June 23 – Crystal Springs Golf Club, with Greg Copin Golf School, Burlingame, California.

The afternoon segment includes a nine-hole scramble (holes shortened to 150 yards) with Woo rotating through each foursome to review etiquette and other relevant aspects. Each event concludes with a networking reception and a prize raffle.
“CourseCo is dedicated to player development, and this is a great opportunity for us to present a program designed exclusively for women,” said CourseCo Senior Operations Manager, Michael Sharp. “We are delighted to have Suzanne join us in these efforts – not just as one-time promotion, but as the foundation of a new program to help serve our communities and motivate more women to play golf.”
