ORLANDO – The game of golf is frequently a shared passion among family members, however, brothers Peter and Steve Cole of Orlando have made San Diego Golf Academy (SDGA) and the business of golf a family affair as well.
The eldest brother, Steve, graduated from the San Diego Golf Academy Orlando Campus in April 2008 and began his new career as a golf apprentice with Walt Disney World on May 1, 2008. On that exact same day, younger brother Peter began classes at SDGA Orlando, establishing golf college as a new Cole family tradition.
“After 34 years of introducing top graduates to the $76-billion-a-year golf industry, stories like this are one of many for SDGA,” says Brad Turner, a PGA professional and Director of the SDGA Orlando Campus. “We are making sure that students of all ages can continue to grow within the golf industry. Founded in 1974, SDGA offers a 16-month program of golf instruction and golf business management at four campus locations in major golf markets – Phoenix, Myrtle Beach, Orlando and San Diego. The curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the education required to get the golf job they desire. The SDGA is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) and by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), a national advocate and institutional voice for self-regulation of academic quality through accreditation.
