Alsip is latest addition to growing staff at Dinuba’s soon-to-open championship course
DINUBA, Calif., May 21, 2008 – KemperSports today announced Josh Alsip as
head golf professional of the soon-to-open Ridge Creek Dinuba Golf Club,
located 30 miles south of Fresno in Dinuba, Calif. Alsip will oversee golf
operations and conduct clinics and private lessons for the area’s
first-ever, 18-hole championship golf course, set to debut in July.
Alsip’s career includes nearly a decade of experience in golf operations and
professional instruction. Most recently, he served as head golf professional
at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark., a high-end, invitation-only
club, and one of three golf properties that Alsip has helped open. Other
start-up operations on Alsip’s resume include Whitetail Golf & Ski Resort in
Mercersburg, Pennsylvania and Big Sugar Golf Club in Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
“I’m very excited that Josh is rejoining KemperSports to help our team
prepare for the opening of Ridge Creek,” said KemperSports’ Joe Wisocki,
general manager of Ridge Creek. “He is a talented golf professional and
dedicated to providing a first-rate guest experience.”
Alsip, who hails from Bentonville, Ark, earned a Bachelor of Science degree
from the University of Arkansas. He currently resides in Dinuba.
Owned by the city of Dinuba and developed by KemperSports, Ridge Creek
Dinuba Golf Club is scheduled to open this July. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based
John Fought designed the par-72, upscale daily-fee course, strategically
incorporating natural grasses and bunkers to produce a heathland golf
experience as found in the classic courses of England. Construction of a
clubhouse and a state-of-the-art 360-degree practice facility, featuring the
largest driving range west of the Rockies, are also nearing completion.
