ORLANDO, Fla. – October 8, 2008… Marriott Golf, one of the world’s premier golf operators, today announced that Kenny Pepper has been promoted to Golf Sales Manager for Camelback and Wildfire Golf Clubs, two of the leading golf facilities in the Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona region.
In this position, Pepper will lead the overall golf sales and marketing efforts for both golf clubs, which includes group sales, resort sales, local sales and marketing, and program development. In addition, Pepper will oversee the Golf Sales Coordinator and work together to attract golfers to both golf clubs.
Pepper first joined the Marriott team in June 2006 as Golf Sales Coordinator for Camelback and Wildfire Golf Clubs. Since joining Marriott, he has been responsible for managing golf and spa transient programs, the golf reservation center, yield management strategies, and day to day marketing, playing an integral role in the overall golf operations.
Wildfire Golf Club, located at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa, is situated in the rugged Sonoran Desert of Northeast Phoenix, and features two picturesque 18-hole courses designed by two of golf’s greatest legends – Arnold Palmer and Nick Faldo.
Camelback Golf Club, part of Camelback Inn, a JW Marriott Resort & Spa, features 36 holes of championship golf located in beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. The famous Padre Course is known for its strategic layout, challenging water holes, and majestic views of the surrounding mountains.
