FORT WORTH, Texas – UST® (United Sports Technologies) today announced the appointment of three employees to positions within the company.
Mickey Uhlaender has joined the company as Operations Project Manager, responsible for facilitating high profile customer specific projects within the organization to insure delivery of high quality, high performance shafts to UST customers. Mr. Uhlaender, a graduate of Baylor University, brings 18 years of golf industry knowledge to UST. He previously was the component merchant for Golfsmith International, where he managed all aspects of golf shaft and golf grip product sourcing. His background and experience within the industry brings a unique and significant knowledge base to UST.
Paula Bassett has been promoted to Global Logistics Manager. Previously, she was Production Manager for 9 years at American Airlines Publishing, where she managed scheduling and production. Since coming to UST four years ago, she has played an active role in the logistics planning department, insuring on time material deliveries to UST factories worldwide. In her new role, she will be responsible for forecasting, planning, ordering, and shipping and reporting within internal departments at UST, and with vendors and customers.
Jimmy Horn has joined the company as Product Design Engineer, responsible for shaft design and development using UST’s proprietary CASA™ Design Software. Mr. Horn brings a tremendous amount of mechanical engineering experience to UST, as he previously served as project engineer for energy production companies ranging from wind to nuclear power. He earned a bachelors’ in mechanical engineering from the University of North Texas.
