Meet Them In Orlando at PGA Show and New Orleans at GIS

They are a star-studded quartet of accomplished professionals with a depth of highly successful experience as industry leaders in the development, introduction, sales and marketing of products and companies in the GPS golf business.
Ben Porter- COO and President
Forty-six year old, English born Ben Porter takes the helm as Chief Operating Officer and President of the company. His intimacy with golf as a professional member of the British PGA, eight-year touring pro (Europe, Africa, US) and European golf course owner has equipped him with a wealth of golf and golf business understanding and know how.
“Ben Porter is well respected in the global golf industry with proven strong ties here in the Europe. His experience and knowledge of both the game and the application of GPS to the business of golf will help GPS Industries quickly establish the company and its suite of products around the globe, ” shared Mark Brown, General Manager, Valderrama Golf Club, San Roque, Spain.
In 1997 Porter founded Golf Academies Ltd in the UK. The company markets and distributes technology products for golf including simulators, digital video arrangements, analyzers and global positioning satellite systems. Golf Academies became GPSI’ exclusive European and Middle East distributor in 2004 and was acquired by the company in 2007.
David Chessler- CEO
David Chessler was appointed Chief Executive Officer in June 2008. Chessler’s experience and accomplishments belie his age of 40. As an entrepreneur, he took several small companies from startup to sale from 1991-2002. This included co-founding and serving as the CEO of ParView, Inc., a manufacturer of golf cart GPS systems. David oversaw Parview’s operations, raised capital and developed strategic relationships.
Since 2003 David has been the managing member of DC Leasing, LLC. The company and its subsidiaries hold and manage resources including tracking tags, asset based debt lending and GPS golf course leasing. In 2003 Chessler formed Global Asset Tracking, LLC, an inventory managing technology company for Yamaha products.

Russ Lee- CFO
Russ Lee joins the GPSI team as Chief Financial Officer and brings with him a strong business, finance and accounting background, wealth of knowledge, and more than thirty years’ experience.
Since 2004 Lee was with Teltronics, Inc., a publicly traded manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, where he most recently served as its Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer.
Prior to joining Teltronics, Mr. Lee was the Chief Financial Officer of SinoFresh HealthCare, Inc., a publicly traded developer and marketer of antiseptic respiratory solutions and Executive Vice President of Finance for Esprix Technologies, LLP, a privately held international fine and specialty chemical company supplier.
Lee was with Corporate Controller, and subsequently appointed Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Gencor Industries, Inc., a publicly held, international manufacturer of processing equipment from 1990 to 1998. He also served on the Board of Directors of Gencor 2004 through 2008.
Mr. Lee has been a Senior Audit Manager in the Ernst & Young organization, holds a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Toledo and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Florida and Ohio.
Kevin Carpenter- VP
Kevin Carpenter, the new Vice President of Sales and Marketing, adds a plethora of skills and qualities essential to a successful international marketing effort. His integrity, honesty and relationship networking approach have long been highly regarded throughout the golf industry. These attributes are a plus for the company and industry but most importantly for the customer.
As cofounder of ParView, Inc. he innovatively pioneered bringing GPS Course Management to market and developed a merchandising/sales team approach that grew revenue over 1000% in two years. In doing so he helped to create a standard for feature rich, service oriented GPS systems.
“Kevin brings to the team dynamics that are key to favorably operating and growing GPSI sales and branding worldwide. He understands GPSI’ golf products, has an extensive knowledge and experience with the golf business market and its focus- golf and customer service.
