NORTHBROOK, Ill., Feb. 19, 2009 – KemperSports recently named Tim Ward general manager of Heron Glen Golf Course. Opened in 2002, the public golf facility is owned by County of Hunterdon Parks and Recreation and is located in Ringoes, N.J., about 40 miles northeast of Philadelphia, Pa.
Ward, a member of the Heron Glen team since its opening, served as the assistant golf professional from 2002 to 2008 before being promoted to Head Golf Professional in April 2008.
“Tim has been an integral part of the success of Heron Glen since its opening,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “He is well positioned to lead the facility into the future.”
Heron Glen Golf Course recently received a four-star rating from Golf Digest and has quickly become one of the region’s most popular public golf facilities. It has also previously received honorable mention in Golfweek Magazine’s Top 10 New Public-Access Golf Courses in America. The golf course, transformed from the famed Kuster Farm, is cut through the rolling hills of Hunterdon County and offers five sets of tee boxes which accommodate all levels of play. The course includes a practice facility, a full-service pro shop and the Heron Glen Café.
Ward is Class ‘A’ member of the PGA, and a graduate of The Golf Academy of the Carolinas with an Associate’s Degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management.
