CARLSBAD, Calif., March 9, 2009 — KemperSports recently named Rory Taylor as sales and marketing director at The Crossings at Carlsbad, a premier golf destination located in scenic San Diego County, approximately 30 minutes north of downtown San Diego. Taylor is taking over sales and marketing duties for Leslie Stephenson, who retired at the end of 2008.
In his role, Taylor will be responsible for steering all sales and marketing initiatives for the golf course. His primary objectives include providing additional sales support to drive outing rounds and to spearhead The Crossings’ loyalty program, The Crossings Club, which gives its members unadvertised golf and food and beverage specials including complimentary rounds, discounted greens fees and much more.
Taylor, a native of Encinitas, Calif., brings several years of industry experience to his new position. He is a 2007 graduate of Utah Valley University and most recently oversaw sales and marketing operations at The Links at Sleepy Ridge in Orem, Utah, where he was responsible for increasing tournament and outings rounds by more than 40 percent and implementing innovative marketing strategies including redesigned collateral and signage.
