Laura Sequenzia has been named Publisher of Golf World, it was announced today by David Carey, Group President, Condé Nast. This appointment will be effective May 19.
“Laura has contributed greatly to all of the success that Golf World has enjoyed,” Mr. Carey said. “She brings a fresh set of ideas and programs to Golf World as it continues to broaden its ad franchise.”
Ms. Sequenzia was named Associate Publisher of Golf World in August, 2006. During her almost three year tenure in this position, Golf World has experienced unprecedented financial success. In 2008, the magazine recorded its best financial year ever, with revenue increasing 11% over 2007. From 2006, total advertising pages have increased by 9% and total revenue has grown by a record 27%.
In 2009, Ms. Sequenzia was instrumental in guiding the magazine to its first-ever inclusion on Adweek’s prestigious “Hot List” in the “10 Under 60” category.
Prior to joining Golf World as Associate Publisher, Ms. Sequenzia was the National Travel Director for Golf World, Golf Digest, and Golf For Women. In that role she managed national and regional travel, resort, and real estate accounts. Ms. Sequenzia was previously Travel and Equipment Director as well as Publisher of Golf World Business.
