Cerritos, California – May 14, 2009 – GolfBuddy announces today its involvement as a sponsor for the “Love Where You Live” Golf and Home show to take place May 14th- 17th, at the Timber Banks Golf Club and Marina in Lysander New York. A celebrity golf tournament will take place on Friday, May 15th during the four day event. Jim Boeheim, head coach of the men’s basketball team at Syracuse University will be among the guests playing in the tournament.
Timber Banks Golf Club and Marina will be an 18 hole golf course set within a 900 acre planned community along the Seneca River. It is the first Nicklaus Design golf course to be built in upstate New York.
A raffle will be held during the event, and proceeds will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer and McMahon Ryan House. Prizes at the event will include autographed Jack Nicklaus memorabilia and a GolfBuddy Tour GPS Rangefinder.
Perry Noun, former Executive Director of the Northeastern NY PGA, will be broadcasting his radio show, “Tee Time with the Pro-Noun” live on location during the event from 8:00-10:00 am EST, with an exclusive interview with GolfBuddy at 8:38 am EST. The radio show can be heard on AM 620 Sports Radio in Syracuse, New York, and is also syndicated in Binghamton, New York on Sports Radio 1430, which expands the signal to Utica, Watertown and Northern Pennsylvania.
