Ten Scholarships Awarded To Area Golfers And Three To MPTN Members
NORTH STONINGTON, CONN., May 15, 2009 – Lake of Isles and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation announced today the 2009 Junior Golf Scholarship Program recipients.
2009 Junior Golf Scholarship Winners:
Jack Ayers – Age 14, Old Saybrook, Conn.
Joey Barile – Age 14, Griswold, Conn.
Patrick Dougherty – Age 16, Waterford, Conn.
Edward Hobaica – Age 16, Stonington, Conn.
Rasmey Kong – Age 12, North Haven, Conn.
Amanda Lee – Age 13, Windsor, RI
Alexandria Lee – Age 16, Windsor, Conn.
Toni Marie Malerba – Age, 16, Norwich, Conn.
Michael Masso – Age: 16, Suffield, Conn.
Devin White – Age 14, Stonington, Conn.
2009 MPTN Member Junior Scholarship Winners:

More than 50 junior golfers submitted applications for this year’s scholarship program. Applicants were evaluated on character, integrity, passion and their potential for success at a highly competitive level.
The scholarship recipients will receive the following:
Weekly practice and training sessions with a Lake of Isles Golf Academy instructor.
Complimentary “standby” playing privileges on Lake of Isles North Course and reduced fees for accompanied adult guests.
Unlimited use of the Lake of Isles practice facility.
Lake of Isles golf bag, golf balls, polo shirt, wind shirt and cap.

The recipients will begin their practice sessions May 17, 2009 and continue through September 30, 2009.
