Brentwood, Tennessee, May 18, 2009 … Softspikes® golf cleats – the world’s best selling cleat brand and #1 Cleat on TOUR, had another weekend sweep in professional golf, winning the plastic cleat count at the PGA TOUR’s Valero Texas Open by a nearly 2-1 ratio, while the Pulsar® cleat captured victories at the LPGA’s Sybase Classic, the Nationwide Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-AM and the Champions Tour’s Regions Charity Classic. Complementing these wins, the Black Widow® Tour™ celebrated its 2nd top 5 appearance on TOUR at the PGA’s Valero Texas Open.
In addition to lapping the cleat field at the Valero Texas Open, PrideSports, maker of Softspikes, dominated the leader boards across the other three tours, as 14 of the top 18 finishers at the LPGA’s Sybase Classic, 30 of the top 34 players at the Nationwide’s BMW Charity Pro-AM, and 28 of the top 34 finishers at the Champions’ Regions Charity Classic, all utilized the Company’s stable of products.
