Arizona course to host World Golfers qualifying

Anders Bengtson, President of World Golfers USA, announced today that the Sun City (AZ) Country Club will hold a qualifying event for the World Golfers Championship on Aug. 15.

Bob Chadwick, the club’s director of golf, indicated tee times would start at 8 a.m. Other Arizona golfers interested in competing should contact him at 623 953-8401.

The winners from five handicap categories (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25) will earn spots in the United States finals, scheduled Sept. 12-13 at the Mission Inn Resort’s El Campeon and Las Colinas Courses in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL.

The winners there earn spots in the World Golfers Championship, scheduled Oct. 24-31 at the Marbella Golf Resort in Spain.
