Phoenix, Arizona-Daphne’s Headcovers, the original golf headcover company, revealed plans to exhibit at the 2009 PGA Fall Expo, September 1 and 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“We’re excited to display our extensive scope and considerable variety of creations at the PGA Fall Expo,” explained Jan Spicer, president of Daphne’s Headcovers. “Our continued sales growth this year speaks to the popularity of our plush covers, not only for their excellent sell-through on a retail level but also for the quality and protection they provide for expensive golf equipment.”
Daphne’s Headcovers are preferred by many touring professionals including Ernie Els’ Lion, Darren Clarke’s Frog, Justin Leonard’s Yellow Lab, Craig Stadler’s Walrus, Aaron Baddeley’s Koala, Leta Lindeley’s Monkey Made of Sockies, Laura Diaz’s golden retriever, Meg Mallon’s border collie, Lorena Ochoa’s flag, and of course, Frank the Tiger who sits proudly in the bag belonging to the world’s number one player.
“We’re excited with the relationships we’ve developed with our TOUR professional friends over the years,” Spicer exclaimed. “In fact, many of them are involved in worthy charitable foundations and we have found a way to proudly support those causes through sales of our headcovers.”
Portions of sales of many of Daphne’s Headcovers go to support various charities including:
American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals through sales of Daphne’s realistic Yellow Lab headcover, designed for PGA TOUR professional, Justin Leonard. The mission of the ASPCA is to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
Australian Koala Foundation through sales of Daphne’s koala headcover designed for Australian PGA TOUR professional, Aaron Baddeley. The AKF is the principal non-profit organization dedicated to the long-term conservation of the wild koala and its habitat.
SLB Foundation of Hope through sales of the Hope Purple Dolphin carried by LPGA TOUR player Beth Bader. The Foundation supports pancreatic cancer research, the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths.
Prader-Willi Syndrome Association through sales of Daphne’s wildly popular Monkey made of Sockies headcover carried by LPGA professional Leta Lindley. PWS is a complex birth defect typically causing low muscle tone, short stature, and significant metabolism issues.
“My mother, the namesake of our company, always said that we should do good when we were doing well,” explained Spicer. “We’re thrilled to know that sales of our headcovers will not only bring delight to our users, but moreover will assist in support of these worthwhile charities.”
Daphne’s Headcovers has been an industry leader for more than twenty-five years. “Our company reputation is based on twenty-five years of providing quality through custom designs and attention to the smallest details,” said Spicer. “All of our 200-plus headcover designs bear our factory phone number. We are so convinced of our quality that should anything ever go wrong with one of our products, we will fix or replace it at our expense.”
