Fairhaven, MA (November 2, 2009) – Titleist Brand Ambassador Ross Fisher captured the Volvo World Match Play Championship in Spain, playing a total of 126 holes over four days that culminated with a 4 and 3 margin of victory in the scheduled 36-hole championship match. The 28-year old, who was never behind in the final match from the moment he birdied the first hole, advanced to fourth in the Race to Dubai and to a career-best 17th spot in the World Rankings following the win. Fisher reached the championship after edging fellow Pro V1x loyalist Angel Cabrera on the third extra hole in the semifinals.

EUROPEAN TOUR: Competing against a world-class field, Ian Poulter went wire-to-wire to capture the Barclays Singapore Open, one shot clear of fellow Pro V1x loyalist Liang Wen-chong. After three days of weather suspensions, players completed the third round Sunday morning before resuming the final round. Poulter closed with a one-over 72 to finish at 10-under 274. Titleist Brand Ambassador Adam Scott tied for third, two shots back. The win was the 8th of Poulter’s European Tour career.
Titleist was the top golf ball choice among players at the event, which was co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour, with 97 players, compared to 22 for the nearest competitor. Titleist was also first in iron sets (35) and wedges (147). Poulter’s win marks the 23rd for Titleist players on the 2009 PGA European Tour, more than three times the nearest competitor with 7.

LPGA: It was a Titleist Pro V1x 1-2-3 sweep at the Hana Bank KOLON Championship where Na Yeon Choi fired a final round five-under 67 to win in her home country of South Korea. It marked the second victory of the year for Choi, who finished at 10-under 206 to claim a one-stroke victory over fellow Pro V1x loyalists Maria Hjorth and Yani Tseng. The 22-year old Choi, who won the Samsung World Championship with an eagle on the final hole, birdied the closing hole for this week’s win.
Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the event with 51 players, more than four times the nearest competitor with 12. The win was also the 16th for Titleist players on the 2009 LPGA Tour, more than three times the nearest competitor with 5.
CHAMPIONS: Pro V1 loyalist Loren Roberts, who tied for sixth at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, triumphed nevertheless, capturing the season-long points race for the Charles Schwab Cup. Roberts, who has now won the Charles Schwab Cup and its $1 million annuity for the second time in three years, narrowly edged out fellow Pro V1 player Bernhard Langer in the points total. Langer and another Pro V1 player, Tom Watson, tied with Roberts for sixth place in the season-ending event.

Russ Cochran (Pro V1, New AP2 irons) finished alone in second place. JAPAN: Tour veteran Toru Suzuki (Pro V1x, Scotty Cameron Newport 2 Studio Select) ended a five-year title drought with a commanding five-stroke victory at the Mynavi ABC Championship. Suzuki, 43, who began the day with a five-stroke cushion, maintained his margin with a final round one-under 71 and a 14-under 274 total. Hiroyuki Fujita (Pro V1, 909H hybrid, Vokey Design Spin Milled wedges, Scotty Cameron Del Mar putter) tied for third. Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Mynavi ABC Championship with 33 players, compared to 22 for the nearest competitor. Titleist was first in hybrids (18) and wedges (50).
SOUTH AFRICA: Darren Fichardt (Pro V1x, 909D2 driver) birdied the last hole of the Platinum Classic to close with a final round 66 and secure a one-shot win. It marked the third win of the year for Fichardt, who switched to the Titleist Pro V1x golf ball at the beginning of the 2009 season. Fichardt finished with a 15-under 201 total. Titleist golf ball loyalists Grant Muller (Pro V1x) and Alan McLean (Pro V1x) tied for third, two shots back. Five players tied for fifth at 12-under 204, including Titleist Brand Ambassadors Ryan Cairns (Pro V1) and Branden Grace (Pro V1x) and Titleist golf ball loyalists Teboho Sefatsa (Pro V1x) and Steve Basson (Pro V1x). Titleist was the top golf ball choice at the Platinum Classic with 46 players, more than twice the nearest competitor and more than all other golf balls combined.
AUSTRALASIAN: Andrew Bonhomme (Pro V1x) captured the Laurance Scrap Metal WA PGA Championship at Bunbury Golf Club in Western Australia. It was a 1-2-3 finish for Titleist with David Diaz (Pro V1x) and Hamish Robertson (Pro V1) tied for second, one shot back. A total of 105 players (80%) in the field of 131 relied upon Titleist as their ball of choice, more than 13 times the nearest competitor with 8. Bonhomme topped a leaderboard that included 7 of the top 10 finishers.
KOREAN: KeeSang Lee (Pro V1, 909D2 driver, 909F2 3-wood, 909H hybrid, Vokey Design wedges, Studio Select Newport 2 putter) pulled away from fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador JaeHoon Jung (Pro V1x, 909F3 3-wood, 909H hybrids, ZB irons, Vokey Design wedges) to capture the final of the DongBoo Promy Match Play Championship, 3 and 2. In fact, Titleist Brand Ambassadors posted a 1-2-3 sweep of the event, as InWoo Lee (Pro V1x, 909F2 3-wood, 909H hybrids, ZB irons, Vokey Design wedges) captured the consolation match, 4 and 2. Titleist was the golf ball choice of 36 players at the select-field event, more than three times the nearest competitor with 11.
WORLDWIDE WIN COUNT: With six more wins this week, Titleist golf ball players have accumulated 144 victories, more than five times its nearest competitor with 25, and more than all other golf balls combined.
