Highly-ranked, front-range destination course teams with Key to the Rockies for “Links and Lodging Package”
(SILVERTHORNE, CO.) – Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks (“Raven Three Peaks”), in the famed Rocky Mountain ski resort region of Summit County, today announces its golf package partners for 2010, including Key to the Rockies Vacation Rentals, offering a wide-variety of affordable and luxury rentals in Keystone and Dillon.
Raven Three Peaks and Key to the Rockies have teamed to create a “Links and Lodging” package ($90 to $190 per person, per night) that includes fully-appointed and furnished condos and homes ranging from one to four bedrooms, and 18 holes of golf, per day, at the highly-ranked Hurdzan, Fry, Lehman-designed course 70 miles west of Denver.
“The Links and Lodging package provides Front Range golfers with a broad array of stay-and-play options and a tremendous value proposition,” says Rhonda Boutelle, General Manager. “Raven Three Peaks is just over an hour’s drive from Denver and under a half day’s drive from most of Colorado’s population centers. The course and its accommodation partners are ideally located to be the hub of an unforgettable Rocky Mountain golf vacation.”
In addition to the Links and Lodging package, Raven Three Peaks continues its accommodation partnerships with other area properties including Main Street Station; Grand Timber Lodge; Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center; and Resort Quest, Breckenridge. Stay-and-play packages start at $150 per person, per night.
Situated at an elevation of more than 9,000 feet, golfers enjoy temperatures up to 20 degrees cooler than Denver, stunning views of Buffalo Mountain, lush Aspen groves, and some of the most dramatic golf holes in the state. Raven Three Peaks is ranked as one of the top courses in Colorado by Golfweek, Golf World, GOLF Magazine, Golf Digest and the prestigious ZAGAT survey.

About Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks
Opened in 2000, Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks was designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry (Hurdzan/Fry Environmental Golf Design) and British Open Champion and PGA Tour player Tom Lehman. It was the fourth “Raven” branded course in America and remains the only Raven facility in Colorado.
Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is a rare combination of a championship layout set against a panorama of towering pines, snow-capped mountains, crystal clear streams and wildflower meadows. In creating one of the great golf experiences in the American West, Hurdzan/Fry and Lehman utilized the routing of the former Dick’s Phelps-designed Eagle’s Nest Golf Course to create a playing surface on which every hole, landing area and shot value maintains its design integrity and takes advantage of the site’s natural terrain.
The front nine climbs toward the upper reaches of the golf course, culminating at the 533-yard, par-5 sixth hole (“Warriors Mark”), the highest point on the golf course. In plain view from the tee box are the signature “Three Peaks” for which the course is named. The back nine flows across the distinctive mountainous terrain, leveling off relative to the roller-coast ride out, yet still choc-full of dramatic shot-making.
Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks closes with one of the strongest finishing stretches Colorado, with the final four holes providing a PGA Tour-level ending to an unforgettable round of golf. The 601-yard, par-5 16th features a 150-foot drop from the tee to the landing area below. It is an unforgettable prelude to the two final par 4s, stout two-shotters measuring 468 and 448 yards, respectively.
Unique to the region, Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks’ bunkers are patterned after the distinctive style first introduced by Alister Mackenzie at Cypress Point, Royal Melbourne, and Kingston Heath. Steep faces and deep furrowed edges give way to native grasses perched at the edge of the sand. In addition to being visually dramatic, the “Mackenzie bunkers” frame the golf course and help contain tee shots that can have up to a 10-percent increase in carry due to the course elevation.
Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks 12,400-square-foot clubhouse features a strong and clean Alpine architectural style with a mountain lodge post-and-beam pine interior. It houses a fully-equipped pro shop, the “Raven Grill” serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, a member’s locker room with ample space for meetings and special events. A variety of membership levels are available for golfers desiring the benefits of a semi-private facility.
