Orlando, Fla. (January 26, 2011) – Golf a la Carte Productions has begun filming the first show for its golf lifestyle television series featuring golf legend Annika Sorenstam. Last week’s shoot at Reunion Resort outside Orlando, Fla. featured several cooking segments with Reunion executive chef John Sexton as well as introductions and golf tips from Annika.
“Working with Annika has been a fabulous experience,” said co-host Sonja Horan. “She is a true professional.”
Golf a la Carte is working to have a sneak preview ready in a couple of weeks.
“I think everyone agrees that the filming exceeded our expectations. We are excited to see the show’s vision come to life,” added Mike McGee, managing director for the ANNIKA brand.
Golf a la Carte is scheduled for a shoot featuring Gary Player next month.
“Everything has been moving ahead so well. We are in the process of finalizing the venues, celebrities, sponsors and examining distribution both domestic and worldwide,” said D. G. Stern, the show’s executive producer.
Golf a la Carte will be shot at golf resorts and clubs featuring cooking segments with the head chefs and celebrities. Each show will offer something unique about the facility, including golf tips, discussions of wines and local foods, golf fashion, all toward showing the many aspects of golf lifestyles.
The television show is based on the book, Golf a la Carte, Recipes from America’s Finest Clubs, by D.G. Stern.
