‘The hottest shafts in golf’ sweep driver, wood, hybrid shaft manufacturer counts at Honda Classic
POWAY, Calif. – With the help of Aldila’s RIP Technology™, the winner of the Honda Classic posted his sixth victory on the PGA Tour and his first of the 2011 season. With the win he moved into third place in the FedEx Cup standings and secured a spot at the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship next week as well as a trip to the Masters. Aldila’s RIP was also instrumental for the longest driver at the Honda Classic who finished with a tournament average of 309.3 yards off the tee.
“Aldila’s RIP Technology™ has grown tremendously in popularity on the Tour over the past few months as it continues to prove itself on a weekly basis,” said Stewart Bahl, Aldila’s Marketing Manager. “RIP Technology completely transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with greater shot control. The RIP offers golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.”
The second place finisher at the Honda Classic also benefited from Aldila’s shaft technology, playing their NV shaft, featuring Micro Laminate Technology, in his Driver and 3 Wood and the NV and NVS in his Hybrid clubs.
“Aldila has developed three patented shaft design technologies: Micro Laminate (MLT), Stabilized Core (S-core) and RIP (Reverse Interlaminar Placement),” said Bahl. “Each offers players of all abilities optimum performance to maximize the potential of their individual swing.”
Micro Laminate Technology is designed using ultra thin layers of premium aerospace graphite that are matched with a proprietary thin profile shaft design that eliminate ‘dead zones’ in the shaft for precise feel. S-core Technology™ provides the golfer with stability through an innovative design incorporating a one-piece carbon fiber rib system. This helps the shaft stay more concentric during the golf swing thereby transferring maximum energy. RIP Technology™ transforms the shaft from the inside out providing players with shot control. RIP shafts offer golfers lower torque, increased tip stability and better tip stiffness control.
With the proven track record of these three high performance shaft technologies, it was no surprise that “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” were able to maintain their status as the #1 shaft on the PGA Tour again this week. Aldila dominated the shaft manufacturer counts at the Honda Classic sweeping the Driver, Wood and Hybrid shaft counts, according to the Darrell Survey. “The Hottest Shafts In Golf” scorched the competition with 64 more wood shafts in play and more than twice the amount of hybrid shafts in play than their closest competitor. This marked the 8th consecutive week that Aldila has won the wood and hybrid shaft manufacturer counts on the PGA Tour and the 7th consecutive week that they have had at least 20 or more wood shafts and nearly double the amount of hybrid shafts in play than the next leading shaft manufacturer.
Aldila is continually on the leading edge of the golf world through their relentless pursuit of the next best innovation. They do the experimenting so you don’t have to. Pushing success to the edge and redefining how power should feel. Are you playing Aldila, or just graphite?
