LAKE MARY, FL – It was one of the most memorable Masters in history, and when the roars had finally died down among the tall pines of Augusta National last Sunday, Nike Golf had a lot to smile about.
Charl Schwartzel of South Africa, who plays and wears the Nike brand, birdied the final four holes to capture his first major championship. And clubs similar to the ones Schwartzel used, plus a full array of Nike brand products, will be on display for testing at the Demo Lab of the 21st Annual ING Spring Conference.
Nike Golf is a regular at ING and this year is no different. Nike Golf will be one of over six dozen companies expected to send representatives to this annual gathering of the golf business and media.
An exciting and revised schedule and an attractive host resort have led to increased registration numbers for the 21st Annual ING Spring Conference May 22-26 at the beautiful Innisbrook Resort near Tampa, FL. But for those who wait until after Wednesday, April 13 to mail their entry forms, there will be a different kind of increased number.
After the regular price registration deadline passes on April 13, conference fees will rise up to 40 percent in all categories.
Anyone in the golf industry or media is invited to attend the conference, conducted by the non-profit International Network of Golf. Industry executives from companies large and small, and from every segment of the industry, will join golf media of all types at this annual gathering. For more information or to register, visit www.inggolf.com. It is conducted by the non-profit International Network Of Golf.
Companies that sell golf equipment or training aids will have their products tested by attending media at the Demo Lab. And all companies have a chance to take a display table in the One-On-One Appointment Show, which provides attendees a platform for private meetings to encourage business relationships.
The new Golf Media Expo will be part of a revamped Sunday Night at the ING Spring Conference. Magazines, media websites and TV and radio shows that register for the conference will receive complimentary tabletop display space to show their materials, samples and more. Display space is limited.
The conference also includes a revised educational format, featuring ActionCOACH as the workshop facilitator. There will also be tremendous networking opportunities, product displays and tests, and lots of golf, including the International Pairs World Qualifier, from which the winning two-player team will earn a free trip to Scotland to represent the USA in the IP World Finals.
Other highlights: a concert by rock star Jimi Jamison, and a keynote speech by national media figure Michelle Phillips.
Innisbrook Resort is hosting the conference, marking only the second time that the ING Spring Conference has been held in Florida. Innisbrook is also host to the PGA Tour’s Transitions Championship every March.
