CARLSBAD, Calif. (April 19, 2011) – TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company announced an agreement to be a supporting sponsor of the 41 PGA Professional Section Championships and PGA Professional National Championship (PNC) through 2013.
The 44th PGA Professional National Championship, the “major” for all PGA Professionals, will be held June 26-29, at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, PA. The path to this showcase event goes through the 41 PGA Professional Section Championships when 4,000 PGA Professionals will compete to be part of the 312-player final field. The top 20 finishers at PNC qualify for the PGA Championship.
“Our long standing relationship with the PGA of America and our team of TaylorMade adidas PGA Golf Staff Professionals has been a key strategic component of our company’s growth over the past decade,” said David Abeles, executive vice president and general manager of TaylorMade Golf. “We are extremely excited about our supporting sponsorship of the PNC and a strengthened commitment to service golf professionals with our products and people at 41 PGA Section Professional Championships as well as the National Championship.
As part of its supporting sponsor partnership of the PNC, TaylorMade Golf Company will receive year round promotion at a grass roots level from PGA Headquarters. The PGA of America and its 41 PGA Section executive director’s will work with TaylorMade to promote it’s business goals and objectives.
