Conshohocken, Pa: On April 22nd, 2011 Nicholas Reach, from Moscow, Pennsylvania has added yet another victory to his young career. Reach dominated the field at the Inaugural 2011 Junior Invitational winning by eight strokes. This tournament brought together the top 54 junior golfers in the world. He finished the tournament with an amazing 20-under par, tying the course round record with a 62 in the first round. He followed up with a 66 and 68 in the second and third round, respectfully. This was Reach’s last junior tournament before attending the University of Georgia this fall.
“I was so excited to win this tournament” Reach says about winning the Inaugural Junior Invitational. He continues, “To win this event in its first year in front of my mother, the Georgia coaches, and the media made this a very special week.”
Reach has been working with Body Balance for Performance and the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy over the past few years.
“I could not have progressed as much as I have in the past two years without the training that I received at the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy. With all of the training on all aspects of my game, I felt fully prepared and ready to win any event that I participated in. He continued, “My body felt especially ready to go for the entire week working with Body Balance for Performance. It is so great to play golf injury free and know that my game is technically very well formed.”
Nicholas is the son of Gary and Brigitte Reach. He credits his parents for giving him this wonderful opportunity to become the golfer whom he is today. It was the age of three that Nicholas picked up his first golf club. He has not stopped since. At ten years old, Nicholas began competing at a regional level on the All Star Junior Golf Tour followed a few years later by the International Junior Golf Tour where he racked up multiple wins. Nicholas continued his career to the American Junior Golf Association. During this time, his resume included three top 5 and multiple top 10 finishes. In 2008, at 15 years old, he received a sponsor’s exemption into his first Nationwide Tour tournament. After winning the Junior Invitational, Nicholas is now back at home for the summer. He will be starting his college golf career at Georgia University this fall on a full scholarship.
