HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – June 1, 2011 – Srixon® congratulates staff player Koumei Oda for his victory on Sunday at the Japanese Golf Tour’s 2011 Diamond Cup Golf Championship. Oda, a native of Tagawa, Japan, shot a 2-under 70, finishing with a 16-under 272, to earn a four-stroke victory over the tournament’s runner-up. The victory was Oda’s first win in 2011 and his fifth career victory on the Japan Golf Tour. Oda played a Srixon Z-STAR golf ball, a new Srixon Z-TX prototype driver (Miyazaki Kusala Silver 83 shaft), new Srixon Z-TX prototype irons (4-PW), and Cleveland TA 588 wedges (52° / 58°).
“We’re thrilled to earn another victory this past weekend for Srixon and the Z-STAR ball,” said Chris Beck, Brand Manager for Srixon – U.S.A. “Whenever you get multiple wins on multiple tours, especially at the same time, it really helps validate the technology behind your products.”
