New York, NY (June 2, 2011) – The Family Golf Challenge event this weekend at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth, New Jersey is being supported by a marketing campaign with Radio Disney AM 1560, one of the most popular radio destinations for kids and family in the metropolitan region. A combination of: 30 spots and online banner ads will drive the event’s mission to engage families in long drive and putting challenges, as well as, support the charitable work of The First Tee.

Radio ads for The Family Golf Challenge are airing on Radio Disney AM 1560 this week and will continue as lead-in support for the summer tour. In addition, leaderboard banner ads will run on www.RadioDisney.com, www.DisneyMusic.com and www.DisneyChannel.com; Disney’s Road Crew will be on hand at select tour events to entertain the participants.
“Radio Disney AM 1560 is the ideal partner for us,” said Bill Carroll, President and CEO of The Family Golf Challenge. “With a loyal family audience, Radio Disney reaches the children and parents that will thoroughly enjoy competing in The Family Golf Challenge.”

The Family Golf Challenge is an amateur skills competition designed to introduce more women and children to the sport of golf. With a strategic focus on providing families with a sports and leisure-time activity that brings the family together, the event also gets them involved in a charitable cause. The First Tee of Metropolitan New York has been designated the Event Beneficiary and will receive $5.00 of each $15.00 registration-fee. Retail partner Golfsmith is providing a $10.00 Golfsmith Card for each team entry.

The top 3 finishers in each challenge and category (12 total) receive Family Golf Challenge medals and the 1st place teams from each local event will advance to a regional playoff in September.
