The Golf Products and Training Aids Company Registers an Exclusive U.S. Trademark on its Well-Known Name and Logo Design
OCEANSIDE – June 28, 2011 – Starting Time has registered its logo with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, eight years following the date of first use. The company is the developer, designer and exclusive distributor of a variety of golf putters, course maintenance items, accessories and high-performance tees.
“We have spent years researching and developing our products to ensure they are practical, valuable and innovative to the sport of golf,” explained Hugh Penton, president, Starting Time. “Registering a trademark was an important step in ensuring our products remain exclusive to the company. It all started with seeing a fellow golfer filling his fairway divots with a sand filled tennis can. He was pushing a cart, like I was and had no way to repair his divots. It came to me that a new business could be started to improve on this sorry condition. That was the beginning of the well-known Fix with Mix®, which is now being developed for use with the motorized golf carts.”
Led by Penton, a longtime golfer, inventor and business executive, Starting Time has assembled a team of engineering, marketing and design specialists to produce and distribute the company’s growing lines of innovative products. Starting Time constantly evaluates new and useful golf products and is in the process of adding other unique items to its catalog.
Since then a large number of golf products have been introduced to the golf market by Starting Time. They include the exceptional Fix Master® divot tool, and the latest addition, the famous Eye Cue 20-20 brass putter. They are now in a very active program in distributing the German-made My mini Golf, which has won international awards and developed a partnership with the PGA. These products are now assembled in three locations throughout North America.
