Palm Beach Florida – The Player Foundation and Golf Club Images (GCI) have joined forces to establish a program to give all of Gary Player Design’s golf course and real estate clients around the world an opportunity to update and improve their golf course photography. The program is not only designed to enhance each club’s marketing materials in the increasingly competitive golf environment, but also to create revenue opportunities through fine art prints, calendars, postcards and a coffee table book of Gary Player designed golf courses.
“Owners, developers, operators and members take great pride in their golf courses, and it is important to be able to provide them with great photography and imagery. Golf Club Images is known for capturing the beauty and uniqueness of every course they photograph, and we are excited about our new relationship,” said Scott Ferrell, President of Gary Player Design.
“This is an exciting time for Golf Club Images to be partnered with The Player Foundation and Gary Player Design. We are honored for this great opportunity and look forward to showcasing the beauty of Mr. Player’s designs around the world,” said Jason Brown, President of Golf Club Images.
A portion of the proceeds from this initiative will be donated to both The Player Foundation and the American Forest Foundation.

About The Player Foundation
Over 25 years ago, the Player family established The Player Foundation in order to provide quality education, nutrition, medical care and sports activities to the less fortunate children living in rural areas outside Johannesburg, South Africa.
Today, through Black Knight’s four annual Gary Player Invitational (GPI) series of charity events staged in the USA, China, Europe and South Africa, the Foundation has expanded its efforts to bring hope, help and healing to impoverished communities around the world. The foundation has risen over $35 million globally, trying to make a difference for impoverished children. By partnering with local charities where GPI events are held, The Player Foundation has been able to make a real change in the lives of children through health and education initiatives.
Gary Player has always felt very strongly that we must look after our youth in order to ensure a positive future. What thus began as a small vision to educate a handful of children on Mr. Player’s farm outside Johannesburg, has now grown to support partner schools, as well as HIV orphans and crime-stricken communities in China, Europe and the USA.
Each year Black Knight International, in conjunction with The Player Foundation, manages and runs a series of prestigious golf events across the globe to raise funds for charity – the primary beneficiary being children’s causes.
Established in 1983, The Player Foundation operates as a 501 C (3) non-profit organization out of Palm Beach, Florida in the USA.

Awards and accolades such as these are numerous, and for good reason. Gary Player Design doesn’t simply design the course and walk away; they also provide the consulting services that will guide a newly established project through the implementation steps necessary to ensure success. The results are premier golf courses & resorts that provide golfers with a unique style of luxury, the challenge of risk versus reward, and a truly memorable experience.
Although Gary Player’s golfing expertise influences every project, Gary Player Design offers three tiers of golf course design service; Black Knight Design™, Player Design™, and Gary Player Signature Design™. On Signature Design projects, Mr. Player is involved in every phase of design and development. With over 50 years of professional golf experience, Player, The World’s Most Traveled Athlete™ has visited and studied most of the great golf courses of the world so he understands that the design of a course takes both vision and respect for existing conditions. His design philosophy, and also that of The Player Group, is to create challenging yet playable courses that enhance the existing resources and retain the natural beauty of the land. Environmental sensitivity is a cornerstone of Gary Player’s passion for golf course design.
Gary Player, often referred to as the Black Knight, is one of the century’s greatest golfers and one of the original inductees into the World Golf Hall of Fame. He is one of only five golfers to ever win the Grand Slam on the PGA Tour and the only golfer to win the Grand Slam on both the regular and Champions Tour. Over the course of his career, Player participated in 438 Tour events, placed in the top 25 in 281 of them, and won 165 worldwide tournaments. Player, whose career earnings exceed $15 million, is a legend in his own time. Currently serving as The Global Ambassador to the World Golf Hall of Fame, he has been a three-time President’s Cup Captain and is ranked by Golf digest as one of the top ten all-time golf greats. Player’s iconic status in sport adds immeasurable marketing value to all golf course design assignments he accepts. His legacy will most certainly ensure Gary Player’s Design success for many years to come.
