Fairhaven, MA (August 8, 2011) – It was a performance to remember for Adam Scott at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational as the Titleist Brand Ambassador demonstrated complete tee-to-green control to earn his first World Golf Championship title. Relying on the Pro V1 golf ball and a full bag of Titleist equipment, Scott topped a world-class field to earn his 18th career win, while rising to No. 9 in the Official World Golf Ranking. – Scott posted a final round 5-under 65, punctuated by a birdie on the last hole, for a 17-under 263 victory total. He was followed on the leaderboard by fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Rickie Fowler (Pro V1x, 910D3 driver, 910F fairway metal, new MB prototype irons, Vokey Design wedges, Scotty Cameron Circa 62 putter) and world No. 1 Luke Donald (Pro V1), both of whom closed with 4-under par 66’s to tie for second place. BY THE NUMBERS: Adam Scott not only finished atop the leaderboard, he was among the leaders in virtually every major statistical category. Off the tee, with his Titleist 910D3 driver and Pro V1 golf ball, Scott led the field in Total Driving, finished 6th in Driving Distance (319.6 yards) and tied for 15th in Driving Accuracy (64.3%). From the fairway, with his Titleist MB irons and Vokey Design wedges, he tied for 9th in Greens in Regulation (70.8%). On the green, with his Scotty Cameron by Titleist Kombi Long putter, he was 4th in Putts Per Greens in Regulation (1.627) and tied for 4th in Putts Per Round (26.5). Overall, Scott was 3rd in birdies with 21.
En route to posting his fourth runner-up finish on the PGA TOUR, Fowler topped the field in Putts Per Greens in Regulation (1.512) and Putts Per Round (25) with his Scotty Cameron Circa 62 putter. Fowler also tied for 15th in Driving Accuracy (64.3%) with Scott, playing the same 910D3 driver as the champion. World No. 1 Luke Donald, playing the Pro V1x golf ball, tied for 2nd on the leaderboard and first in Greens in Regulation (77.8%) for the week.
– The combination of Scott’s WGC win and Scott Piercy’s victory at the Reno-Tahoe Open advanced the Titleist Brand Ambassador victory total to 13 on the 2011 PGA TOUR. PGA TOUR: Scott Piercy earned his first career PGA TOUR title with a one-shot win at the Reno-Tahoe Open. Piercy vaulted to the top of the leaderboard after a record-setting third round 61, which included eight consecutive birdies on the front nine for a score of 28. He closed with a final round 2-under 70 en route to a 15-under 273 victory total.

CHAMPIONS TOUR: Titleist Brand Ambassador Jay Haas birdied the final hole to win the 3M Championship by one shot over Peter Senior (Pro V1, 909D2 driver, AP2 irons, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges), Tom Lehman (Pro V1, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron GSS putter) and Kenny Perry (Pro V1x). Haas, who started the day one shot behind the leaders, closed with a 4-under par 68 to finish with a 15-under 201 victory total. The win is the 15th of Haas’ Champions Tour career and his first this season.
– Tom Watson (Pro V1) and Mark O’Meara (Pro V1x, 910D3 driver, 910F fairway metal, 910H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges) tied for 6th, three shots behind the champion, as Titleist golf ball loyalists secured six of the top seven positions on the leaderboard.

KOREAN TOUR: Do-Kyu Park (Pro V1x, 910F fairway metal, 910H hybrids, Vokey Design gap and lob wedges, Scotty Cameron Studio Select Laguna 1.5 putter) captured his fifth career crown, winning the rain-shortened KPGA Johnnie Walker Open by one shot over Sung-Yoon Kim (Pro V1x, Vokey Design gap and lob wedges). The tournament was reduced to 54 holes after a typhoon slammed into the island of Jeju on Sunday. Park finished with a 12-under 204 victory total over the three rounds. Soon-Sang Hong (Pro V1x) finished solo 3rd, another two shots back, to give Titleist golf ball loyalists a 1-2-3 sweep on the leaderboard. In fact, nine of the 11 players who finished among the top 10 and ties relied upon a Titleist golf ball for their success.
Titleist was the most played golf ball at the event with 114 players (73%), more than six times the nearest competitor with 18.
NATIONWIDE TOUR: Jonas Blixt (Pro V1x) posted a final round seven-under 64, while Ken Duke (Pro V1) closed with a five-under 66, and were two of four players who shared second place at the Cox Classic, one shot behind the winner. Titleist Brand Ambassador Matt Davidson finished in solo 6th place at 20-under 264, also after closing with a seven-under 64. Blixt and Davidson shot the lowest rounds of the day.
