PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 26, 2011) – There is nothing like exposing your golf game, with all of its flaws and weaknesses, to the masses. Players on the professional tours are trained to do this and become hardened to the task. Amateurs usually wilt under this pressure.
Not only has GolfTalk Live host Tony Leodora signed up to play in the 28th Golf.com World Amateur Handicap Championship, contested August 29 to September 2 on courses throughout the Myrtle Beach area, but he has agreed to present all the gory details in daily stories.
His stories will appear in the Blog section of the radio show’s official website, www.golftalklive.net beginning Monday morning. From the first tee shot in the morning until the last moments of the nightly World’s Largest 19th Hole party in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Leodora will give an account of the day’s highlights … lowlights.
“I’ve humbled myself before,” admitted Leodora. “I guess there’s no real harm in doing it again.”
The final comments about the week of competition in Myrtle Beach will come during the September 3 GolfTalk Live radio show – recorded during the championship round on Friday, September 2 at the TPC at Myrtle Beach
“There are a lot of other players from the Greater Philadelphia area playing in the World Am throughout the week and I hope to see them in that championship round at TPC,” concluded Leodora.
GolfTalk Live airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday on WNTP 990-AM and on www.wntp.com. It also can be heard any time during the week after the show airs, by going to the website, www.golftalklive.net.
