ORLANDO, Fla. (Oct. 11, 2011)-Armada Sports & Entertainment, Inc. announced today that it has appointed Mary Beck to the Board of Directors, effective October 15, 2011.
Beck currently holds the position of Senior Vice President, Marketing & Promotion for MLB Network. She was a member of the management team for MLB Network when it debuted on January 1, 2009 as the largest launch in cable television history, and oversees consumer advertising and marketing as well as on-air promotions. Beck, who joined Major League Baseball in 2001, was responsible for promoting the MLB brand and supporting the marketing initiatives of all the league’s departments in an effort to grow the popularity of the game.
With a background in corporate sales, partner promotions, event marketing and advertising, Beck has worked on a broad range of integrated marketing projects both online and offline. Prior to Major League Baseball, Beck worked in advertising sales for Reuben H. Donnelly, Turner Broadcasting, and Move.com. In 1996, she graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York with a BA in History.
