Carlsbad, CA (October 16, 2011) – Ashworth Golf Staff Professional Fred Couples dominated the field each of the three rounds at TPC San Antonio, firing a 65, 62 and a bogey-free 66 to win by seven. Turning in a 23-under score, Couples total 193 broke the previous tournament record of 195 and helped him record the largest margin of victory on the Champions Tour this year.
After nine starts on the Champions Tour this year, Couples was won twice this season and six times over the past two years. Next up is the Charles Schwab Cup at TPC Harding Park Nov. 3rd and the Presidents Cup in Australia where Couples is the U.S. Captain.
