PHILADELPHIA (December 8, 2011) – With winter weather bringing golf to a close for the season throughout the Northeast, people are looking for some direction in an attempt to get away on a golf vacation. GolfTalk Live host Tony Leodora has just the item. He has released a series of stories — in the Blog section of www.golftalklive.net — containing some great inside information on the best places to play golf during the upcoming winter months.
The first story, posted in the radio show website’s blog section on December 8, deals with what has been called “the greatest unknown golf course in the world.” It is called Playa Grande and it sits in a remote portion of the Dominican Republic’s north coast, hard on the Atlantic Ocean. This is an amazing story of a golf course that has recovered from near extinction over and over again … and is in the midst of another eye-catching recovery.
The second, which was posted on December 10, deals with the west coast of Florida — in particular, highlighting three very upscale golf courses that rate among the best in the state. Yet, despite their outstanding quality, the public can gain at least limited access to all three.
The third, which was posted on Monday, December 12, takes a look at the outstanding golf that is available in Jamaica — especially at two of the favorite courses, the White Witch and Cinnamon Hill. And, within a very short drive of the two courses is the new Iberostar Grand Resort, which brings the ultimate in luxury accommodations and service to the affordable world of all-inclusive packaging.
“The question I get asked all of the time involves new places to play,” says Leodora, who has now played a total of 720 golf courses in 15 countries — and has the scorecard from each to prove it. “Now, they are looking for something different and something affordable for the winter. These stories should help them with their quest.”
Many of the courses that are outlined in these stories have been topics of interviews and even live remote broadcasts on the GolfTalk Live radio show. They will stay active in the Blog Section of www.golftalklive.net for more than a year, so that show listeners and fans of the website can use them as reference material for an upcoming golf trip.
GolfTalk Live airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday on WNTP 990-AM and on www.wntp.com. It also can be heard any time during the week after the show airs, by going to the website, www.golftalklive.net.
