ORLANDO, FL – The PGA Trade-In Network will announce some big changes at The 2012 PGA Merchandise Show in January. Dubbed PGA Trade-In Network 2.0, the initiative involves several impressive new features and a robust Loyalty Program for Members. A new partnership with PGA Golf Exhibitions will give PGA Trade-In Network Members access to a suite of Show-related perks such as discounted travel and hotel, free parking, and access to the Show floor before the doors open to the public, among other benefits.
“Our focus is always on delivering more and more value to the PGA Professional,” said Leigh Bader, PGA Professional and President of The PGA Trade-In Network. “This partnership with PGA Golf Exhibitions fits perfectly with that mission, making it more affordable, more convenient and more productive for PGA Professionals to attend the hallmark event of the year-the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando,” Bader said.
In addition to launching the new Loyalty Program, The PGA Trade-In Network will also give visitors to their booth a sneak peek at their new “Touch-Free Trade-In App” which gives PGA Professionals more options for dealing with customer trade-ins.
Doug Smith of the PGA Trade-In Network oversaw the development of the “Touch Free Trade-In App” and explains, “PGA Professionals can continue to take trade-ins in the traditional way, or simply refer customers to a personalized website for self-service trade-ins. The golfer ships their clubs directly to us and gets paid in the form of a gift certificate, redeemable at that referring PGA Member’s shop. The PGA Professional gets the new sale, plus a healthy referral bonus, and they never have to touch the clubs.”
“Dynamic Demand” a new enhancement to the PGA.com Value Guide is also planned for 2012 and will further ensure that PGA Trade-In Network Members receive the most timely, accurate and highest market value for all excess clubs they send to the PGA Trade-In Network.
Members can also expect faster payment in 2012 with the introduction of “InstantPay” (an open account available to qualifying members) and the new “QwikPay”(available to all Members) which will enable Members to receive payment in as little as one day from the time their clubs are received.
The PGA Trade-In Network Established in 2004, The PGA Trade-In Network is a key component to the same PGA of America initiative that produced the PGA.com Value Guide, The National Standard for Golf Club Values (www.pga.com/valueguide). The PGA Trade-In Network is at work for PGA Professionals by driving new customers to their facilities, enabling risk-free trade-ins, and providing an easy way to turn unwanted trade-ins and other excess golf equipment into cash via a simple online tool. The PGA Trade-In Network also seeks to increase the consumer relevance of The PGA professional as the golf equipment, fitting and technology expert. Consumers benefit by being able to purchase properly fitting golf equipment more affordably by trading-in their used golf clubs. There are currently over 7,000 PGA Trade-In Network facilities, employing over 10,000 PGA Professionals, nationwide.
