LAKE MARY, FL (January 17, 2012) – The Children’s Miracle Network event at Disney, the HP Byron Nelson and the Michael J. Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research make up the Tournament Service category of the final ballot of the 19th Annual ING Industry Honors.
Hundreds of nominations from across the golf industry have been trimmed by sub-committees to three nominees in each category in the ING Industry Honors awards program. Winners in a dozen categories are decided by an electronic vote of the ING membership. Nominees will be acknowledged and winners announced at the Industry Honors Presentation Press Conference January 27 at 1 p.m. at the PGA Merchandise Show in ClubING, Room 309.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals – This event at Walt Disney World celebrated its 40th year in October to close out the PGA Tour season. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® is a non-profit organization that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. Countless individuals, organizations and media partners unite with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to help sick and injured kids in local communities.
HP Byron Nelson – Salesmanship Club of Dallas is the leading fundraiser for charities on the PGA Tour for past 10 years with its HP Byron Nelson Championship, raising over $121 million for children and families served by Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers.
Michael J Fox Foundation For Parkinson’s Research – Michael J Fox was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 30. Fox hosts two fundraising events annually. In addition, his foundation is a benefactor of the Champions Tour Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am event held in April. Largely through golf and other fundraising efforts, the Michael J. Fox Foundation has donated $233 million to Parkinson’s research since its inception in 2000.
