World’s No. 1 Golf GPS App Provides Subscribers with Tips from Leading Players and Instructors Based on Club-Tracking Software

(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) – GolfLogix – the No. 1 App for Golf and a global leader in GPS and club-tracking technology – and Golf Digest have entered into a strategic partnership where GolfLogix members who use the smartphone app will receive customized instruction content from Golf Digest’s staff of top-ranked teachers and Tour stars.

Starting in Spring 2012, instructional videos and tips from Golf Digest experts will be automatically included within the GolfLogix app. As the software continuously captures a player’s stats during the round, personalized feedback and instant advice from the magazine’s industry-leading teaching vault will be sent to the member’s smartphone for review.

“Combining our patented technology with Golf Digest’s resources, we’ve built an all-inclusive app that helps our passionate members play better golf and enjoy the game more,” says Pete Charleston, President of GolfLogix. “In addition to the Tour-quality information generated by our software, golfers worldwide will have immediate access to instruction from a library featuring the game’s elite players and teachers.”

“This is the new frontier for helping people learn to play golf — the next step in transforming Golf Digest the magazine into Golf Digest Live,” said Golf Digest Chairman and Editor-in-Chief Jerry Tarde. “Much like a good caddie or swing coach, this app gives golfers personalized feedback based on their tendencies, needs and interests – on the course, on the range and at their leisure. It combines our leadership in golf instruction and service with GolfLogix’s unmatched GPS technology and robust membership.”

Easily downloaded from www.GolfLogix.com, the free GolfLogix GPS app is compatible with more than 60 smartphone models. It provides accurate distances to the center of the green, yardage book quality imagery of each hole, scorekeeping and in-round pro-level stat tracking for nearly 30,000 courses worldwide. For less than $20, an upgraded annual Champion membership provides golfers with club tracking and distances to any location on the hole – including pin position, hazards and landing zones.

All membership levels include access to the GolfLogix Member Clubhouse, the No. 1 online golf community where millions of golfers interact through social forums, offer challenges to fellow golfers and maintain an indexed handicap. Personal web pages for each user also stores performance statistics, so every round can be analyzed by fairways hit, greens in regulation, putting, shot trends and more.
