Event honors over 10 years of instruction success and features new top 100 instructor
St. Augustine, FL (March 7, 2012): The PGA TOUR Golf Academy has announced its 10th anniversary celebration and golf challenge will be held Saturday, March 24 from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. at World Golf Village in St. Augustine. The event will provide the public the opportunity to learn more about the Academy’s latest enhancements and to test out its newest state-of-the-art teaching technologies. Participants will also learn more about new golf instruction programs, meet teaching pros and staff, participate in hands-on golf instruction, enjoy exclusive incentives and limited time offers, and meet the PGA TOUR Golf Academy’s new Top 100 Golf Instructor, Anne Cain.
“This occasion is our way of saying thanks for everyone who has supported us in our first successful decade and to share some of the really cool new offerings we now have,” said John Fechter, president of PGA TOUR Golf Academy. “We encourage individuals and families to come visit for a day of golf, family, and fun.”
A special attraction of the celebration will be the “PGA TOUR Golf Academy Challenge,” where participants can test their golf skills in fun yet challenging competitions to win incredible top-shelf prizes, including Ogio products, Bridgestone golf balls and an “Ultimate Golf Escape” at nearby TPC Sawgrass for one lucky winner and his or her guest. The latter VIP experience includes “behind-the-scenes” access to TPC Sawgrass, home of THE PLAYERS Championship, rounds of golf on both famous TPC Sawgrass courses (The Stadium Course and Dye’s Valley Course), one night luxury accommodations at the Marriott Sawgrass Resort, and the opportunity to take advantage of even more hands-on golf instruction at the TOUR Academy TPC Sawgrass.
