Annual Fundraiser to Support Warrior Foundation Hospital
(June 16, 2012 – Coral Springs, FL) Caddy For A Cure, Inc., the professional golf program that assists wounded warriors and multiple causes around the world, is again assisting the Blue Angels Foundation in their annual fundraiser golf tournament, sponsored by DynCorp International. The Blue Angels Foundation golf tournament will be held Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the beautiful Del Mar Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, California.
The Blue Angels Foundation proudly contributes funding to support the Warrior Foundation in San Diego, as well as the National Flight Academy, an organization that encourages students’ passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Additional beneficiaries and support provided by the Foundation include scholarships for descendants of present and past Blue Angels Squadron members, the preservation of Blue Angels history and the Blue Angels Foundation.
Vincent Donile, Blue Angels Foundation President commented, “We greatly appreciate the help of Caddy For A Cure in making this golf tournament a first class, professionally run fundraising event. Our support of The Warrior Foundation and Freedom Station in San Diego enables us to contribute toward assisting, honoring, and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed both physically and emotionally for our country.” He continued, “With Caddy For A Cure, this event has become known for being an extraordinary day from start to finish, consistent with the tradition and expertise of the Navy Blue Angels Squadron.”
Caddy For A Cure CEO and program Founder Russ Holden said “We are so pleased to be assisting again for the third year with this wonderful organization and its fundraising efforts. Their mission to support the Freedom Station is a perfect complement to what we do with our support of wounded warriors through the PGA TOUR Birdies For The Brave military home-front outreach program.” He added, “While we continue to expand our support through Caddy For A Cure, we have learned that the ‘cure’ often means simply providing an answer to a need.” Holden concluded, “This Blue Angels Foundation golf tournament is a fantastic opportunity for patriotic golfers to enjoy a day of golf at a world class course while helping a great cause. Opportunities to play are very limited and interested players should sign up now to secure their participation.”
