Carlsbad, CA – Polara Golf (www.polaragolf.com) announced today that they will be holding their popular Polara Straight Drive Challenge on Monday, July 9th, at the Granite Links Golf Course in Quincy, MA during the 4th Annual Corporate Golf Tournament and Gala benefiting the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Department of Massachusetts.
The Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is a national organization. Proceeds from this tournament go specifically to the Transportation Fund for disabled veterans. The Transportation Fund pays for the transportation of sick and disabled veterans to and from medical facilities for treatment. The Transportation Fund also benefits all disabled veterans in the area with their daily travels, not just to the VA hospital, but for all needs.
The DAV receives no federal money. This charitable institution depends entirely on membership
dues, contributions and fundraisers, like this tournament, to give back to the brave men and women who gave so much of themselves to protect our freedom.
The Presenting Sponsor for the Golf Tournament and Gala Event is Veterans Development Corporation (www.vetdevcorp.com).
Polara Golf selects charity golf outings throughout the country to partner with and donates a portion of their self-correcting golf balls to help golfers of all skill levels hit more fairways, speed up play and make the day a more enjoyable experience. In the Straight Drive Challenge, flags are placed out in the fairway at 160 yards, similar to field goal posts in football, and contestants are given the opportunity to win FREE sleeves of Polara golf balls for hitting their drives through the uprights.
“Our Polara golf balls are perfect for these types of scramble events,” said David Felker, PhD and Head of Technology for Polara Golf. “They remove some of the frustration from the game and allow even the occasional golfer who normally struggles with a hook or slice the chance to have fun on the golf course and focus on the real reason they are there….to raise money for a great cause.”
“This is the best scramble ball on the planet! If you want to hit more fairways, speed up play and have a great time, use the Polara Golf Ball.” Donnie Hammond – PGA Tour Winner
