PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – The Keiser University College of Golf is proud to announce a new partnership with Impact Zone™ Golf, one of golf’s most comprehensive teaching systems. As part of the exclusive agreement, Keiser University College of Golf will now offer students optional training to achieve player and teacher certification in the Impact Zone Golf (IZG) program.
The supplemental IZG program at Keiser University College of Golf introduces students to a wider variety of teaching methods and can significantly increase their employment opportunities after graduation.
Impact Zone Golf was founded by Bobby Clampett, a 16-year veteran of the PGA TOUR and golf analyst/commentator for CBS Sports. With experience as a player and analyst, Clampett studied what good players do to create dynamic impact and designed the Impact Zone Golf system to address what he considers the five key facets of golf – dynamics, style, knowledge, fitness and health, and mental. Engaging all five of these facets creates a holistic approach, which leads to the most enjoyment and improvement and the best results.
“Earlier this year, we hosted an Impact Zone Golf clinic that featured a three-part program covering IZG’s five unique swing dynamics, drills and personal instruction. It was a huge success and we saw a lot of value for our students in making it available as optional training,” says Keiser University College of Golf Executive Director of Golf Operations Dr. Eric Wilson, who is a PGA Master Professional. “Giving our students exposure to different teaching methods helps to provide for a strong academic foundation and we’re very excited to be working with Bobby Clampett in making IZG available at Keiser University College of Golf.”
The Keiser University College of Golf features a 20,000-square-foot facility includes a 1,500-square-foot indoor putting green, advanced launch monitor technology, TaylorMade MAT-T swing analysis system, an interactive golf simulator provided by Full Swing Golf powered by SIRGUL, and a golf club repair lab equipped by Mitchell Golf Equipment. Students also receive access to the highly acclaimed PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance where they can practice on a 35-acre lighted practice range, short game areas, bunker facility and extensive putting greens. Keiser University College of Golf also gives students daily access to several PGA Master Professionals, such as Brian Hughes, Dr. Eric Wilson, and Golf Magazine top 100 teacher Dr. T.J. Tomasi.
Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Golf Management prepares students for a variety of positions in the golf industry. In this program, students are prepared to provide golf instruction, manage golf course operations, ensure appropriate maintenance of golf facilities and equipment, as well as integrate the play of golf into the broader hospitality and recreation domain. Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science in Sports Management degree (with a concentration in golf management) focuses on the managerial and business aspects of a career in golf. The curriculum supports an expanded professional role of sports managers and graduates of associate degree programs in golf, hospitality, fitness, sports, recreation and other related fields.
