PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – The PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance – a 35-acre, cutting-edge training environment with 100 full-swing stations and nine bunker types to simulate play from around the world – has been named to Golf Digest’s 2013 list of “America’s 100 Best Clubfitters.”

Golf Digest polled more than 1,000 course raters and leading industry sources for recommendations. A committee reviewed 1,000 facilities and 324 nomination forms nationwide to determine which golf destinations provided the highest quality of clubfitting services. To be considered, clubfitting facilities

must be accessible to the public and provide services for top golf equipment manufacturers. In addition, individual fitters must receive high recommendations from Golf Digest’s rating panelists, comprised of sources from “America’s 100 Greatest Golf Courses.”

“The PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance is honored to be featured on such a prestigious list alongside elite performance centers and golf retailers from across the country,” said PGA Professional Holly Taylor, director of the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance. “We are proud to provide acclaimed clubfitting services for both professional and everyday golfers. This award is a testament to our expertise and ability to fit golfers with the best equipment for their game, whether they are a high handicapper or a touring professional. In recent years, we have hosted the national golf teams from Canada, Germany, Russia and Denmark, and our clubfitting services are a part of the reason of why they train at our Center.”

Home to PGA of America Golf Schools, the PGA Center for Golf Learning and Performance provides the ultimate learning environment for players of all levels. On-site services and world-class technology include: PGA Club Performance facility for expert club repair and fitting, PGA Center for Fitness and Performance’s golf-specific exercise programs, the Sirgul Golf Simulator, LinxTracker/PGA PAR System and TrackMan Shot Performance game analysis programs.

The full “America’s 100 Best Clubfitters” list is featured in the May issue of Golf Digest.
