Since starting the FCG Tour in 2007, Future Champions Golf has always seen opportunity to grow the game of junior golf in the state of Nevada. Now going into it’s 4th year, the FCG Las Vegas Championship was first created in an attempt to incorporate players outside of Southern California into a large junior golf tournament. With the 2013 field now set at 263 players, FCG felt it was time to initiate a further expansion into Nevada.
The FCG Nevada Swing will be an exciting set of 3 tournaments held all around Nevada during the fall months of 2013. The following locations and dates will make up the Fall 2013 FCG Nevada Swing:
September 7th-8th: WildHorse Golf Club – Henderson, NV
September 28th -29th: Dayton Valley Golf – Reno, NV
November 9th-10th: Silverstone Golf Club – Las Vegas, NV
The Fall 2013 Nevada Swing will have a separate point system, structured identical to the current FCG National Tour point system. Points will be awarded at the end of each tournament and a winner will be announced. In addition, AJGA will be awarding the following PBE status to the Fall 2013 FCG Nevada Swing points champions:
Boys 15-18 Point Champion 2 Performance Stars
Boys 13-14 Point Champion 1 Performance Star
Girls 15-18 Point Champion 2 Performance Stars
Girls 14 & U Point Champion 1 Performance Star
Other exemptions on the line include:
-Top 3 finishers in each division will earn an exemption into the Inaugural FCG Founder’s Cup at Fairbanks Ranch CC (Nov. 25th)
-Winners of Boys & Girls College Prep Division will earn an invite to the FCG Boys & Girls Invitational at Bayonet Golf Course (Nov 30th-Dec 1st)
