Flushing, Mich., July 17, 2013 – The third annual King Par Classic, which was hosted by King Par in Flushing, Michigan, is pleased to announce the charity golf tournament raised $35,000 for this year’s beneficiary the Flint Junior Golf Association. Over the past three years, the King Par Classic has raised more than $125,000 for local charities.
The King Par Classic was played on June 24 at the prestigious Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan. There were 135 golfers who played in the Pro-Am Scramble format and enjoyed a wonderful day of golf capped off with a delicious dinner and live auction.

Since its inception in 1939, the Flint Junior Golf Association has provided an opportunity for young golfers to learn, play and enjoy a game that they can play for a lifetime. The FJGA is a program for juniors’ ages 8 through 18 whom live or go to school in Genesee County. With more than 1,250 junior members annually, the FJGA is recognized as the oldest and one of the largest junior golf programs in the country. Along with supporting the FJGA through the King Par Classic, King Par also provides space at its campus to house the association.
