Member-Guest event returns October 18 to Hampshire Greens Golf Course

North Bethesda, Md. (October 8, 2013) – The GolfTEC Improvement Centers in North Bethesda and Gaithersburg are hosting the third annual Member-Guest Golf Tournament on October 18 to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP).

“The generosity of our clients playing in this event will benefit soldiers,” says Paul Crombie, co-owner for both GolfTEC Centers. “With last year’s proceeds we purchased WWP Under Amour (UA) backpacks that were shipped directly to the WWP for distribution to wounded soldiers. Each backpack was filled with customized essentials and information about WWP’s 18 innovative and vital program offerings.”

The tournament is being played at Hampshire Greens Golf Course, beginning with a 10 a.m. shotgun. The format is a twosome scramble (teams must include one GolfTEC member and one guest), with both gross and net divisions.

Entry fee for guests is $125, which includes 18 holes of golf, shared cart, continental breakfast, awards party and buffet, tee prize and a variety of on-course contests. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Entry for GolfTEC members is complimentary.

“This is a great way for us to give something back to our dedicated GolfTEC members, as well as help a great cause,” said Mark Tanner, co-owner and director of instruction for both GolfTEC Centers. “Plus, our members get to show off their improved golf games when they team up with a friend.”
