Premier event provides amateurs with exciting competition across the U.S.
Scottsdale, Ariz. (March 28, 2014) – Troon® is thrilled to announce the official schedule of the 2014 Troon Challenge presented by Callaway Golf.®
The annual Troon Challenge is Troon’s largest amateur golf event, attracting more than 1,000 loyal golfers competing in regional qualifying events across the United States. Two-person teams in both Net and Gross Divisions will vie for the chance to qualify for the National Finals to be held at Troon’s flagship facility – Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. A total of 24 facilities in nine different states will host qualifying events from April through August.
“The Troon Challenge is a great opportunity for amateur golfers to experience friendly competition at many of our outstanding Troon Golf facilities located throughout the United States,” stated Kris Strauss, vice president, sales and marketing, Troon. “We are thrilled to partner another year with Callaway Golf, which will offer some great prizes at the National Finals event in August, along with supporting sponsors that include Imperial Headwear, Pepsi and American Hole ‘n One.”
Qualifying events kick off April 19 with play at The Ridge at Castle Pines in Castle Pines, Colo. Entry into any qualifying event includes green fee, cart, practice balls, one dozen Callaway golf balls, custom Imperial Troon Challenge hat, event prizes and post-tournament awards reception. The 2014 Troon Challenge is presented by Callaway Golf, along with supporting partners that include Imperial Headwear (featured as the events official headwear sponsor), Pepsi and American Hole ‘n One.
Troon North Golf Club located in Scottsdale, Ariz. will host the National Finals on Saturday and Sunday, August 23-24, 2014. Each participant in the two-day final event will receive a Callaway Golf gift pack, custom Imperial Troon Challenge national finalist hat, and will be eligible for prizes including award-winning Callaway Golf items and more!
