PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (February 10, 2015) – The GolfTalk Live radio show and Traveling Golfer television show – each recipients of the prestigious Media Awards from the International Network of Golf at the recent PGA Merchandise Show – have continued their outstanding growth among golfers. The latest leap forward came as both programs moved into further syndication, adding the new GolfingMagazineLI.com to the list of affiliated websites.
Golfing Magazine’s New York edition, published by industry veteran, John J. Glozek, Jr., is the New York area’s leading golf publication. The new GolfingMagazineLI.com website is targeted to the audience in Long Island, NY, home of 140 golf courses on only a 120-mile stretch of land.
The site has become the new home for the avid Long Island golfer — listing golf courses, practice ranges, charity events and golf associations. It is also home to unique audio, video and written content generated by local personalities, and now GolfTalk Live and The Traveling Golfer – hosted by Tony Leodora — will join the lineup.
“As radio and television syndication of our shows continues to grow, it is easy to see just how popular new and exciting golf programing is among avid golfers,” exclaims Philadelphia based, Tony Leodora. “I am honored to be working alongside so many talented people in the industry, and John Glozek, Jr. has been a leader for years. We are excited to bring our message to listeners and viewers in Long Island.”
“I have known Tony Leodora for years, meeting him at an International Network of Golf Conference. He is very knowledgeable and respected in the industry. His insight into the game and travel destinations makes his show a perfect fit for Golfing Magazine readers and now our listeners on our website,” states John Glozek, Jr.
The GolfTalk Live radio show, hosted by Tony Leodora, is the award-winning weekly radio show that won national awards at the PGA Merchandise Show for seven consecutive years. It was named No. 1 Golf Radio Show in America by the International Network of Golf three times during that stretch – 2008, ’10 and ’11. The show airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday on flagship stations WNTP 990-AM in Philadelphia and is now syndicated across the country.
The Traveling Golfer is the award-winning monthly television show hosted by Leodora. It won a first place award in the Media Awards at the recent PGA Show. Each month’s feature runs as part of the Press Box television show in Myrtle Beach, 5 to 7 p.m. on HTC Ch. 4, and as part of the Inside Golf television show on Comcast SportsNet in the Philadelphia and Baltimore/Washington markets. Each month’s feature also runs throughout the month on The Traveling Golfer online network. See full list of sites on www.travelinggolfervideo.com. The featured destination stays on the website for one month, before being replaced by a new show. The old shows are archived on the home website and Traveling Golfer Official YouTube Channel.
