In the Fall of 2015 Future Champions Golf launched a campaign to determine the best of the best in elite junior golf instruction in the USA. There has never been an award dedicated to those coaches out there working tirelessly to help their teenage players move from the junior ranks to the college ranks. The process was to determine these deserving coaches started with an online application process with pro’s asked to tell their story about helping junior golfers, how many college scholarships for their clients, what their elite training program is like, etc. After several hundred applications came in the applicants were asked to select their top 5 coaches deserving of the award. Those most popular 5 coaches were awarded. The applications were then sent to an amazing selection panel that featured Sara Brown, Alex Weber, Glenn Hickey, Dave Stockton Jr. Mina Harigae, Kelli Kuehne, and Lance Gill who determined the remaining Top 25 award recipients. The awards are sponsored by Callaway Golf and the coaches will receive plaques at the GolfMDs booth on Wednesday during the PGA Show in Orlando, Fl.
