(RIO VERDE, Ariz.) – Rio Verde Community and Country Club – the award-winning residential enclave northeast of Scottsdale – has been voted the No. 1 “Private Golf Course” by Ranking Arizona: the Best of Arizona Business for the second consecutive year.

The 2015 rankings, published by Arizona Business Magazine, include more than 250 categories and 2,000-plus entries. Each category in the state’s largest business opinion poll was selected by AZ Big Media and based upon the preferred professional and leisure activities of Arizona’s business professionals. Residents and corporate leaders throughout the state voted via the official Ranking Arizona website.

“It’s truly an honor to be voted again as the best private golf course by residents and business leaders in the area,” says Ken Kelley, General Manager of Rio Verde. “With so many other outstanding private golf courses in the area, this category is one of the most competitive. To be recognized as No. 1 by Arizona Business Magazine’s prestigious annual edition is a testament to our wonderful golf staff.”

Rio Verde’s two golf layouts – Quail Run and White Wing – were renovated by The Lehman Design Group as part of a $6.5 million project that modernizing both courses while retaining their “soft desert” playability. Playing to 6,602 yards, Quail Run sports a traditional design reminiscent of America’s great Midwestern golf venues. The par-70, 6,535-yard White Wing features links-style elements such as fairway mounding, open green fronts and stacked-sod bunkering.

Dubbed the “friendliest community in Arizona,” Rio Verde also boasts an unmatched sense of kinship among relationship-oriented buyers searching for more than just a “Valley of the Sun” address. Ideal for those who enjoy an active lifestyle, Rio Verde’s resort-style amenities include tennis, Pickleball, a community center, and nearby hiking and biking trails.

Boasting 735 acres of desert wildflowers, cacti and abundant wildlife that accent its residential areas and amenities, Rio Verde became the first Audubon International Certified Sustainable Community west of the Mississippi River and the fifth overall in the United States.

This membership comes with a variety of joining options, all with competitive monthly dues – individual, couple, limited, and a flexible one for those not yet retired and under the age of 65.
