CareerBuilder Challenge’s 54-hole, three-day pro-am is sold out
LA QUINTA, Calif. – For decades, the CareerBuilder Challenge has featured one of sports’ leading fan experiences for the golfer who aspires to play alongside the world’s best professional PGA TOUR golfers on nationally renowned, championship golf courses. Though the tournament has already sold out its 54-hole CareerBuilder Challenge Pro-Am, there are limited amateur spots still available to compete in the Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am, an 18-hole VIP event taking place Jan. 18 on the Stadium Course at PGA WEST.
The early sellout of the CareerBuilder Challenge Pro-Am is indicative of the increased popularity and demand in the tournament’s pro-am offerings, which is why interested parties are urged to act fast in securing one of the last spots in the Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am field.
Please contact Bob Marra at (760) 861-4242 or Bob@DesertClassicCharities.com to reserve an individual spot or foursome in the Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am. For additional information on the pro-am, please visit www.careerbuilderchallenge.com/pro-am.
The Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am is not just an 18-hole bucket-list adventure for the golf and sports fan, but rather a week-long VIP experience which entitles its participants to the following:
– A practice round at the Stadium Course at PGA WEST on Sunday, Jan. 15 and a pro-am gift package, signed commemorative photos with your PGA TOUR playing partner, valet parking, breakfast and on-course refreshments for the Jan. 18 pro-am at the Stadium Course.
– Two Invitations to the CareerBuilder Challenge Welcome and Pairings Party on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at La Quinta Resort & Club, and inclusion in the pro-am’s post-event awards reception on Jan. 18.
– Four tickets to Club 17 presented by Genesis, an exclusive, upgraded hospitality pavilion overlooking the Stadium Course’s famous 17th hole aptly named “Alcatraz.” The rocking atmosphere will once again be a popular gathering place to watch players take on one of the PGA TOUR’s most exciting, nerve-wracking and difficult holes. Club 17 also provides views of the 16th green and the 11th fairway.
– Ten full-week grounds badges (per contestant) for friends and family.
– An opportunity to book a room at a special rate at La Quinta Resort & Club, the CareerBuilder Challenge’s official hospitality partner.
The Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am also offers a VIP upgrade package, which includes all of the aforementioned plus two weekend memberships to the Bob Hope Club, presented by H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, and valet parking at PGA WEST. Perched around the
Course’s 18th green, the Bob Hope Club provides the pinnacle of CareerBuilder Challenge hospitality. It includes premium, catered breakfast and luncheon buffets and afternoon hors d’oeuvres and a fine beverage selection, climate-controlled indoor seating and comfortable outdoor box seats, which are the best seats in the house to watch players finish their rounds.
Once again, the Bob Hope Legacy Pro-Am will have the local media spotlight on it in the form of the seventh-annual TV News Anchor Challenge. Coachella Valley television news anchors Kris Long (CBS Local 2), the defending TV News Anchor Challenge champion, Gino LaMont (KMIR-TV) and John White (KESQ-TV) annually compete against each other within the pro-am’s team format, with the winner presenting a $10,000 check to a local charity of their choice on behalf of the CareerBuilder Challenge.
The CareerBuilder Challenge earlier named 42-time PGA TOUR winner Phil Mickelson – the CareerBuilder Challenge’s 2002 and 2004 champion and a five-time major winner – as its tournament ambassador. Mickelson will headline a field of 156 PGA TOUR pros and 156 amateurs competing over 72 holes.
Jason Dufner won his fourth PGA TOUR title – his first since claiming the 2013 PGA Championship – at the 2016 CareerBuilder Challenge by shooting 25-under-par 263 through the regulation 72 holes (four rounds) and besting David Lingmerth on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff.
Discounted ticket options are now available at www.CareerBuilderChallenge.com through Dec. 31 (all ticket prices revert to at-the-gate prices beginning Jan. 1, 2017). All active duty, reserve, and military retirees, along with one guest, may attend the CareerBuilder Challenge any day for free. Children 15 and under also receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult (limit 2 children per adult). All grounds ticket options are eligible for viewing at all three tournament courses. Daily parking passes ($10) and weekly parking passes ($30, good Jan. 18-22) are also available at www.CareerBuilderChallenge.com.
