Bluffton, South Carolina, (February 6th). International Junior Golf Academy (IJGA), a full time boarding golf academy with a 20 year history in developing junior golf athletes, announces the appointment of a new Director of Golf Instruction to lead the athletic development program.
Jonathan Yarwood, a British PGA Master Professional, has a long standing career that speaks for itself. He has trained a U.S. Open winner, 2 U.S. Amateur winners, 2 U.S. Girls’ Winners, 3 AJGA Players of the Year, 4 #1 juniors, a collegiate #1, a winner on six major tours around the world plus more.
He was recognized for his contribution to the game by being the youngest person to become a U.K. PGA Master Professional in 2011. He was also voted a “Top 20 Teacher under 40” by Golf Digest, and has been named “Best Teachers in State Rankings” for over a decade. He is proud to be joining the excellent team at IJGA and to bring his experience to a new generation of junior players. He begins his appointment on June 1st 2017.
