French Lick, IN – French Lick Resort, the historic golf resort destination located in southern Indiana, has won the “Video Marketing” award at the 24th Annual International Network of Golf (ING) Industry Honors program at the recent 2018 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, FL.
The ING Industry Honors program recognizes outstanding achievement in the golf business. The non-profit, media-based networking organization International Network of Golf conducts the awards program.
Nominees in 12 categories are submitted throughout the year from anyone in the golf industry. Sub-committees that include experts in each category then trim the entries to the top three in each category. ING members then vote electronically to determine the winners.
The “Video Marketing” award recognizes an individual, company or agency that has created an innovative online video used for a product demo, informational content, advertising, promotion or social media strategy. French Lick Resort joined Antigua and Bridgestone Golf as the three finalists for this year’s honors.
ING awarded French Lick Resort for its video development, led by resort marketing manager and video director, Steve Rondinaro, and Erik Hook, camera editor, chronicling the historic Donald Ross Course on its 100th Anniversary in 2017. French Lick Resort is no stranger to being recognized by ING. In 2017, the resort was honored with two ING awards. The “Promotion/Public Relations Event or Campaign” award for its video work on the 2016 Legends Championship presented by Old National Bank at The Pete Dye Course, as well as the “Video Marketing Award” for its more than 30 hours of video and distribution of the events video highlights through television, online and social media channels.
French Lick Resort has gained national recognition over the past ten years hosting major golf events that have created the pathway for many of these awards. In 2018, Senior LPGA Championship presented by Old National Bank will be contested October 15-17. Over the years, the PGA of America played its PGA Professional National Championship on the new Pete Dye course in 2010. Then in 2015, the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid brought its prestigious event to the resort. In addition, the Big Ten held both the men’s and women’s golf championships at French Lick, the LPGA Legends, as well as the Symetra Tour have made annual stops to French Lick.
