The relay style competition challenges teams to complete holes No. 1 and No. 18 in the fastest time possible, creating a high energy showcase that blends athleticism, creativity and pressure packed decision making.
The timer begins when player one hits the opening tee shot on hole No. 1. Player two then plays the approach shot into the green before player three completes the hole with permission to strike a moving ball and take unlimited strokes. After holing out, player three tosses the ball to the No. 18 tee where player four hits the final tee shot.
Player two then waits in the fairway of hole No. 18 to hit the final approach shot into the green, while player one finishes the hole on No. 18. Once the final putt drops, the timer stops and the team’s official time is recorded. The team with the lowest overall time is declared the winner.
Teams are granted two attempts to complete the challenge. If a team is unable to finish either attempt, it is marked as a “Did Not Finish.”
Players are granted permission to run on the greens at Carlton Woods strictly for this event. The AJGA does not condone running on greens outside of this competition.
